Optical Code Division Multiple Access (OCDMA) using Double Weight (DW) codes for local area network
International Conference on Computer and Communication Engineering (ICCCE'10), 2010This paper describes the performance evaluation of the Optical Code Division Multiple Access (OCDMA) technique using Double Weight (DW) Code. This technique was implemented in local area environment which is applied in ring network and the performance analysis was carried out using optical communication simulation software.

In this paper, the effect of atmospheric turbulence on bit error probability in free-space multi-carrier optical CDMA (MC-OCDMA) scheme with Sequence Inverse Keyed(SIK) optical correlator receiver is analyzed. Here Intensity Modulation scheme is considered for transmission.

Abstract Exploitation of the spectral/spatial two dimensional optical code division multiple access (2D-OCDMA) systems in passive optical networks (PONs) is not explored extensively due to the fact spatial encoding requires deployment of multiple star couplers in the topology where each coupler is connected to different ends of either transmitter or ...

We apply the arrayed waveguide grating (AWGs) method for encoder and decoder design for complete transmitter and receiver system. The encoder and decoder module will be using the AWG to encode and to decode optical source into useful signal to carry the data and transmit it using a single optical fibre.

Increasing Demands of bandwidth intensive applications has brought many challenges for the network operators, especially in the last mile section of the network. Optical fiber has already been adopted as the workhorse in metropolitan and core networks, and is now increasingly penetrating the access domain.

This project is concentrated on the design of encoder and decoder modules for a new developed spectral amplitude coding (SAC) of optical code division multiple access (OCDMA) system called modified double weight (MDW) code. The parallel and serial configurations of encoder and decoder modules have been designed and the performances of both systems are ...
