[Optical coherence tomography].

Ugeskrift for laeger, 2003
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a novel technique for two and three-dimensional imaging of tissues at a histological level. The technique is based on optical technology and commercially available fiber-optic components that may be adapted for use in conventional endoscopes or intravascular catheters.

Optical coherence

International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves
We present a phase-less synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging technique for the terahertz range, inspired by optical coherence tomography. Instead of relying upon phase-sensitive detection, spatial information is extracted from frequency dependent ...

Coherent Optical Transients

Physics Today, 1977
The dynamics of nuclear spins in atomic and molecular environments have been examined in exquisite detail over the past 27 years by the methods of pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance. The early discovery of the spin echo by Erwin Hahn and the transient nutation effect by Henry Torrey initiated the field by introducing coherent transient phenomena to ...

Applications of optical coherence theory

, 2020
Over the last century, classical optical coherence has developed from a few vaguely related concepts into a standing along branch of optics and, more broadly, electromagnetics, that has resulted in a number of groundbreaking discoveries concerning the ...

Optical Coherence Tomography

Comptes Rendus de l'Académie des Sciences - Series IV - Physics, 2001
Abstract Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a new technology for performing high-resolution cross sectional imaging. OCT is analogous to ultrasound imaging, except that it uses light instead of sound. OCT can provide cross sectional images of tissue structure on the micron scale in situ and in real time.

Optical Coherence Microscopy

2017
The present chapter aims at demonstrating the capabilities of optical coherence microscopy (OCM) for applications in biomedical imaging. We furthermore review the functional imaging capabilities of OCM focusing on lable-free optical angiography. We conclude with a section on digital wavefront control and a short outlook on future developments, in ...

Intraocular Optical Coherence Tomography

2014
Since its introduction as a diagnostic instrument, optical coherence tomography (OCT) has become an essential instrument for ophthalmologists as it offers accurate details on both the vitreoretinal interface and the retinal layers. Initially designed as a pre- and post-operative instrument, today we are attending to its introduction as an ...

Coherent array optical imaging

Applied Optics, 1991
This paper describes a technique that allows a severely distorted coherent optical array receiver to produce images comparable to conventional monolithic imaging systems. The technique is based on using a phase synchronizing point source as a reference to eliminate phase errors in the array.
