Advances in optical coherence tomography in dermatology—a review

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Optics, 2018
. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) was introduced as an imaging system, but like ultrasonography, other measures, such as blood perfusion and polarization of light, have enabled the technology to approach clinical utility. This review aims at providing

Investigation of Iron‐Aluminide‐Like Phase Composition in Complex Concentrated Fe32Cu12Ni11Ti16Al29 Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work reveals the phase composition and quantitative morphology analysis of precipitation‐hardened Fe32Cu12Ni11Ti16Al29 complex‐concentrated alloy. The precipitates are shown to have a high coherency. Morphology transition between sphere, cuboidal, and elongated morphology is observed. Finally, the overaging behavior is captured using microhardness.

Swept source optical coherence tomography and optical coherence tomography angiography in pediatric enhanced S-cone syndrome: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports, 2018
Background Enhanced S-cone syndrome is an autosomal recessive retinal dystrophy related to a defect in a nuclear receptor gene (NR2E3) that leads to alteration in cells development from rod to S-cone. This retinal dystrophy may be associated with retinal

Toughness of Confined Auxetic Foams

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Auxetic (negative Poisson's ratio) materials offer benefits such as impact mitigation, thermal insulation, vibration damping, and reduced shear strain, although their fracture mechanics are largely unexplored. This study investigates damage initiation and propagation in confined re‐entrant auxetic foams from polyurethane via experimental ...

Cellular Imaging Of The Tapetal-like Reflex In Carriers Of RPGR-associated Retinopathy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
PURPOSE: To examine the features of the tapetal-like reflex (TLR) in female carriers of RPGR-associated retinopathy by means of adaptive optics scanning light ophthalmoscopy (AOSLO) and spectral domain optical coherence tomography.

Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography in Glaucoma

open access: yesTurkish journal of ophthalmology, 2018
Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) comprises different OCT-based technologies developed for non-invasive assessment and measurement of optic nerve head and retinal perfusion. Currently the most clinically established approach is based on the

Structurally Colored Physically Unclonable Functions with Ultra‐Rich and Stable Encoding Capacity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
This study reports a design strategy for generating bright‐field resolvable physically unclonable functions with extremely rich encoding capacity coupled with outstanding thermal and chemical stability. The optical response emerges from thickness‐dependent structural color formation in ZnO features, which are fabricated by physical vapor deposition ...

A model for simulating speckle-pattern evolution based on close to reality procedures used in spectral-domain OCT

open access: yes, 2014
A robust model for simulating speckle pattern evolution in optical coherence tomography (OCT) depending on the OCT system parameters and tissue deformation is reported.

Long wavelength optical coherence tomography for painted objects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Optical Coherence Tomography has been successfully applied to the imaging of painted objects in recent years. However, a significant limitation is the low penetration depth of OCT in paint because of the high opacity of paint due to either scattering or ...
