In vivo laser Doppler holography of the human retina
The eye offers a unique opportunity for non-invasive exploration of cardiovascular diseases. Optical angiography in the retina requires sensitive measurements, which hinders conventional full-field laser Doppler imaging schemes.

Progression and topographic subtypes of Terrien marginal degeneration
Abstract Purpose To report long‐term outcomes and to search for immunological and genetic risk factors in Terrien marginal degeneration (TMD). Methods Retrospective, in part prospective, hospital‐based longitudinal follow‐up study of 32 eyes of 16 Finnish patients from 2012 to 2023. Median follow‐up was 7.3 years (range, 0.3–15.2).

The role of red blood cell characteristics and viscosity in sickle cell retinopathy and maculopathy
Sickle cell retinopathy and maculopathy are common ocular complications of sickle cell disease. This study assessed the contribution of red blood cell characteristics and blood viscosity to their development. HbSC patients with proliferative retinopathy showed a lower delta elongation index and point of sickling, while no link was found between whole ...

ABSTRACT Background To compare the performance of high‐resolution microperimetry testing against standard automated perimetry (SAP) for detecting glaucomatous damage seen on optical coherence tomography (OCT) scans. Methods 250 eyes from 200 individuals underwent high‐resolution microperimetry testing of a hemifield using a stimulus pattern optimised ...
