Surface and Coatings Technology, 1994Abstract The ion-beam-induced amorphization of crystalline graphite layers was studied by using near-IR visible and near-UV reflectance spectra to obtain the real and imaginary parts of the refractive index as a function of photon energy in the range 0.5–7 eV.

Measurement of Optical Constants: Optical Constants of Liquid Mercury at 5461 Å*
Journal of the Optical Society of America, 1966The optical constants of liquid mercury have been measured by ellipsometry at a wavelength of 5461 A. The measured results are n = 1.485 and κ = 3.061. Discrepancies among values from the literature are discussed and the magnitude of the important sources of error are evaluated.

Optical constants of cubic boron nitride
