Mid‐Infrared Optical Constants of Labradorite, a Triclinic Plagioclase Mineral
Plagioclase feldspar is the most abundant rock‐forming mineral in the crust of the Earth, Moon, and Mars and is also an important component in some minor bodies in the Solar System.

Determination of the Optical Constants of Thin-Film Coating Material Using Evolutionary Algorithm [PDF]
Anew mathematical procedure depends on the evolutionary algorithm has been proposed to estimate the optical constants (refractive index, extinction coefficient and thickness) of unknown deposited material on a defined substrate.

Tuning the Refractive Index and Optical Band Gap of Silk Fibroin Films by Electron Irradiation
The Bombyx mori silk fibroin (SF) films were prepared by solution casting method and effects of electron beam on the optical properties and optical constants of the films have been studied by using UV-Visible spectrophotometer.

The effect of (He–Ne) laser irradiation on the optical properties of methyl orange doped PVA films
The effect of (He–Ne) laser irradiation for different irradiant times on optical properties of (10 ml) methyl orange doped PVA films were investigated. The films were prepared by casting method.

Silicon Carbide (SiC) optical constants are fundamental inputs for radiative transfer models of astrophysical dust environments. However, previously published values contain errors and do not adequately represent the bulk physical properties of the cubic

We performed a reverse process of a usual optical data analysis of boson-exchange superconductors. We calculated the optical self-energy from two (MMP and MMP+peak) input model electron-boson spectral density functions using Allen's formula for one ...

The optical properties of a- (GeS2)100-xGax thin films
Thin films whose compositions can be expressed by (GeS2)100-xGax (x=0, 6,12,18) formula were obtained by thermal evaporation technique of bulk material at a base pressure of ~10-5 torr.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Normalization of the Mathieu-Gauss optical beams [PDF]
A series scheme is discussed for the determination of the normalization constants of the even and odd Mathieu-Gauss (MG) optical beams. We apply a suitable expansion in terms of Bessel-Gauss (BG) beams and also answer the question of how many BG beams ...
