First GD-OES results on various deuterium ion fluences implanted in tungsten

open access: yesNuclear Materials and Energy, 2018
Glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy (GD-OES) was used to investigate the deep depth profile of deuterium in tungsten exposed to deuterium ions at various fluences. Deuterium was found to continue to decrease in intensity at depths 10–20 µm, even

Accurate measurement of the HI column density from HI 21cm absorption-emission spectroscopy

open access: yes, 2013
We present a detailed study of an estimator of the HI column density, based on a combination of HI 21cm absorption and HI 21cm emission spectroscopy. This "isothermal" estimate is given by $N_{\rm HI,ISO} = 1.823 \times 10^{18} \int \left[ \tau_{\rm tot}

Backbone Heterojunction Photocatalysts for Efficient Sacrificial Hydrogen Production

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, a ‘single‐component’ organic semiconductor photocatalyst is presented in which a molecular donor is bonded to a polymer acceptor. The resultant material demonstrates exceptional photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution in aqueous triethylamine with an outstanding external quantum efficiency of 38% at 420 nm.

Electron temperature characterization of H2 processing plasma by optical emission spectroscopy

open access: yesApplied Physics Express
Optical emission spectroscopy of hydrogen (H _2 ) plasma is performed to characterize the electron temperature, T _e . The H _2 Fulcher band emission and radiative dissociation continuum are measured, where the Fulcher band emission is recognized to be T
