Ground‐State Charge‐Transfer Doping in Donor–Acceptor Semiconducting Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates controlled ground‐state charge‐transfer complex formation (GS‐CTC) and doping in a series of diketopyrrolopyrrole‐based donor–acceptor semiconducting polymers paired with a π‐conjugated penta‐t‐butylpentacyanopentabenzo[25]annulene “cyanostar” macrocycle. Complementary experimental techniques show how subtle molecular, electronic,

Hopping‐Mediated Zero‐Bias Photocharge Retention in Solution‐Processed Van Der Waals Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Liquid–liquid interface assembly enables the fabrication of solution‐processed MoS2 and WSe2 centimeter‐scale, nanometer‐thick type‐II heterostructures on paper. Interfacial charge separation and hopping‐limited recombination produce rectification and persistent photocharge retention at zero bias.

Exploring the optical and electrical properties of CsSnBr3 for optoelectronic technologies

open access: yesScientific Reports
In this study, we report the structural, optical, and electrical properties of lead-free CsSnBr3 perovskite synthesized via melt growth. UV–Vis absorption and Tauc plot analysis reveal a direct optical band gap of 1.75 eV.

Phase-Tunable Non-Reciprocal Light Routing in Multimode Quadratic Optomechanical Systems

open access: yesOptics
Nonreciprocal optical devices are key components of integrated photonics and quantum information processing. However, achieving dynamically reconfigurable nonreciprocal transport without magnetic materials or structural asymmetry remains challenging.

Photoinduced Charge Separation in Single‐Component Squaraine Films: The Key Role of Electrostatic Disorder

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Neat films of organic dyes are an interesting technological platform for solar cells and photodetectors. Recently, the conventional biphasic bulk‐heterojunction paradigm for photoinduced charge separation was challenged by the observation that charge carriers can be photogenerated in single‐component materials. A comprehensive experimental and

Empirical Equation Based Chirality (n, m) Assignment of Semiconducting Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes from Resonant Raman Scattering Data

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2012
This work presents a technique for the chirality (n, m) assignment of semiconducting single wall carbon nanotubes by solving a set of empirical equations of the tight binding model parameters.

Role of the Recombination Zone in Organic Light‐Emitting Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the critical role of the recombination zone in organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs). We highlight that broadening the recombination zone in OLEDs based on emissive layers with balanced charge transport and high photoluminescence quantum yields provides a promising route toward achieving both long operational lifetime and high ...
