Common optical SCM label technologies for optical label switching network

SPIE Proceedings, 2004
A new optical label scheme called Common optical SCM (Subcarrier Multiplexing) label method is proposed. The label paths are consisting of multiplex SCM paths with SCM/WDM technology, which separate from the data wavelength paths. These label paths are parallel and shared for any data wavelength path.

Optical label detection using optical interleavers

Proceedings of 2005 7th International Conference Transparent Optical Networks, 2005., 2005
We propose a novel and simple technique for the detection of subcarrier-multiplexed (SCM) labels using optical interleavers in optical label switching networks. 155-Mb/s ASK modulated 10-GHz SCM labels have been extracted successfully with an insertion loss of less than 0.4 dB by using 10-GHz optical interleavers.

Demonstration of Optical Label Swapping using Optical Comb for DWDM Optical Label Switching Networks

Asia Communications and Photonics Conference 2016, 2016
In this paper, a novel cost-effective all-optical label swapping scheme based on optical comb is proposed and experimentally demonstrated for dense wavelength-division-multiplexing (DWDM) optical label switching networks. The cost and power consumption are also investigated.

Optical Properties of Fluorescein‐labeled Organoclay

Photochemistry and Photobiology, 2010
AbstractWe report the preparation of aminopropyl‐functionalized magnesium phyllosilicate (Mg‐organoclay) conjugated to fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) functionality (FITC‐organoclay) by one‐pot sol‐gel synthesis. The physical characteristics of the Mg‐ and FITC‐organoclays were examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X‐ray diffraction (XRD ...

Intensity-modulated labeling and all-optical label swapping on angle-modulated optical packets

IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 2004
We proposed and investigated superimposing intensity-modulated labels onto high-speed angle-modulated payloads in optical label-switching packet networks. This can largely simplify the all-optical label swapping, including label extraction, processing, removal, and new label insertion. The transmission performances of 1.244-Gb/s on-off keying labels on

Integrated optical label read and payload envelope detection circuit for optical label swapping

2006 Optical Fiber Communication Conference and the National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference, 2006
We demonstrate the first integrated 10 Gbps optical label recovery and 40 Gbps optical payload envelope detector circuit. Error free optical label recovery, nanosecond payload envelope detection, and optical label swapping are demonstrated.

A novel optical label swapping technique using erasable optical single-sideband subcarrier label

IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 2000
To support optical multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) technology in an optical network, we have demonstrated subcarrier label swapping in a 96.2 km, three-node experiment, by using optical single-sideband modulation and an optical notch filter. At each intermediate switching node, an old subcarrier label can be suppressed by 25 dB, while the 2.5 Gb/s

Label-free tapered optical fiber plasmonic biosensor

Analytica Chimica Acta, 2021
We designed and fabricated a novel label-free ultrasensitive tapered optical fiber (TOF) plasmonic biosensor that successfully detected a five panel of microRNAs with good selectivity. The biosensing platform integrates three different metallic nanoparticles: gold spherical nanoparticles (AuNPs), gold nanorods (AuNRs), and gold triangular nanoprisms ...
