Optical quantification of label-free DNA
Frontiers in Optics 2010/Laser Science XXVI, 2010The designed gold nanoparticle dimer is employed to quantify label-free DNA. By using hyperspectral dark field spectroscopy, the measurement of characteristic spectra shows versatile quantification of label-free DNA up to atto molar concentration.

Optical label switching functionalities employing semiconductor optical amplifiers
Optical Amplifiers and Their Applications/Coherent Optical Technologies and Applications, 2006Optical labelling of data packets enables high router throughputs. Semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) are key building blocks to implement the functionalities required for fast optical label switching.

Observations on the labeling of fringes for ultracentrifugation with interference optics
Analytical Biochemistry, 1971Abstract Molecular weight determinations of protein solutions at sedimentation equilibrium with interference optics often require the identification or “labeling” of a unique fringe. A system for recognizing the zero-order fringe is described which relies on interferograms recorded with light of different wavelengths.

Neutron Optics and Spin Labeling Methods
2015Abstract While the description of the scattering process of neutrons—on the samples they are intended to explore—requires full quantum mechanical description for prediction and interpretation, the propagation of neutrons within the neutron scattering instruments can be nearly always described and controlled with all required precision by rules of ...

Labeling of signals in transparent optical networks
Proceedings of 2003 5th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks, 2003., 2004Management, switching and protection of signals in a core network depends on transmission of management data associated with specific channels, e.g. for identification of channel origin, destination and content. SDH and DWDM networks provide dedicated data channels for this purpose. While reliable and standardized for SDH/SONET networks, such solutions
