Measuring Quantum Optical Hamiltonians [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 1998
We show how recent state-reconstruction techniques can be used to determine the Hamiltonian of an optical device that evolves the quantum state of radiation. A simple experimental setup is proposed for measuring the Liouvillian of phase-insensitive devices.

IpDFT-Tuned Estimation Algorithms for PMUs: Overview and Performance Comparison

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
The Interpolated Discrete Fourier Transform (IpDFT) is one of the most popular algorithms for Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs), due to its quite low computational complexity and its good accuracy in various operating conditions.

Frequency Selective Surface With Two Quasi-Independent Notch Frequencies

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A double-layer frequency selective surface (FSS) built on FR4 substrate exhibiting two notch frequencies in the 0-10-GHz range is introduced. Recently published examples demonstrate that further research needs to be undergone for obtaining separate ...

Delta function of the Fourier transform [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
In the analysis of the double window Fourier transform, it is found that both components of the direct transformation contain an equal amount of information sufficient to restore the original time signal. A double conversion diagram has been constructed.

Measurement-efficient optical wavemeters

open access: yesOptics Express, 2004
We describe a method for efficiently determining the wavelength of a monochromatic source and provide an experimental proof-of-concept. The photomeasurement efficiency for a wavemeter can be written as eta(N,q) = (1 + logqN)/m, where N is the number of spectral channels, q is the number of distinguishable output levels per photodetector, and m is the ...
