Quantitative phase‐amplitude microscopy I: optical microscopy
Journal of Microscopy, 2002SummaryIn this paper, the application of a new optical microscopy method (quantitative phase‐amplitude microscopy) to biological imaging is explored, and the issue of resolution and image quality is examined. The paper begins by presenting a theoretical analysis of the method using the optical transfer function formalism of Streibl (1985).

Full-Field Optical Coherence Microscopy
Optics Letters, 1998We present a new microscopy system for imaging in turbid media that is based on the spatial coherence gate principle and generates in parallel a complete two-dimensional head-on image without scanning. This system has been implemented in a commercial microscope and preserves the lateral resolution of the optics used. With a spatially incoherent source,

Optical scanning Fourier ptychographic microscopy
Applied Optics, 2019We propose a lower-cost and practical active scanning optical scanning Fourier ptychographic microscopy (OSFPM). Featured is a simple setup of Galvo mirrors capable of scanning large-sized objects. The active scanning laser beam is projected onto the sample in a circular pattern to form multiple lower-resolution images.

Scanning optical fluorescence microscopy
Journal of Microscopy, 1984SUMMARYA scanning optical fluorescence microscope is described which possesses several advantages over a conventional fluorescence microscope. These include improved resolution, a reduction in background‐ and auto‐fluorescence, an increase in the available fluorescence spectrum and simple modification for automated fluorescence studies.
