Non‐Enzymatic Destruction of the Extracellular Matrix for Activatable Orthotopic Tumor Treatment and Enhanced Drug Penetration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Supramolecular biomimetic nanoaggregates (HFCu NAs), constructed with fluorinated histidine and copper ions via metal coordination and aromatic packing, exhibit enhanced reactive oxygen species (ROS)generation at tumor sites, which results in stepwise collapse of the extracellular matrix (ECM), affording tumor microenvironment responsive “turn‐on” 19F ...

Traffic Load Uniformity in Optical Packet Switched Networks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
A crucial issue in Optical Packet Switched (OPS) networks is packet loss due to contentions. In this paper we study how traffic load uniformity influences the packet loss in a single OPS node. Traffic load uniformity is a measure of the load asymmetry a specific output link in an OPS node receives from its input sources.

Huge capacity optical packet switching and buffering.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2011
We demonstrate 2.56 Tbit/s/port dual-polarization DWDM/DQPSK variable-length optical packet (20 Gbit/s × 64 wavelengths × 2 polarizations) switching and buffering by using a 2×2 optical packet switch (OPS) system. The optical data plane of the OPS system

Queueing Models Performance Analysis in Optical Switching Network Nodes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
In optical switching networks, queueing models are often used for modeling, analyzing, and evaluating the performance of switching nodes. These models determine the number of optical packets in the switch and how quickly the switch can serve the traffic.

Switching From Acceptor to FRET Donor: How the Organic Solar Cell Architecture Can Change the Role of a Chromophore

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The non‐fullerene acceptor o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV is used in both binary and ternary blends to investigate the role that it plays in each device architecture. The charge generation pathways are found to differ between the binary and ternary blends with o‐IDT‐BT‐DCV becoming a second donor in the ternary blend.

Ensuring QOS Guarantees in a Hybrid OCS/OBS Network [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
The bursting aggregation assembly in edge nodes is one of the key technologies in OBS (Optical Burst Switching) network, which has a direct impact on flow characteristics and packet loss rate. An optical burst assembly technique supporting QoS is presented through this paper, which can automatically adjust the threshold along with the increasing and ...

Heat Conduction Modulation in Incommensurate Twisted Stacking of Transition‐Metal Dichalcogenide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The interlayer thermal conductance in twisted bilayer TMDs is initially investigated experimentally by the thermoreflectance method. The overlap of lattice vibrations within individual layers and the interlayer interactions, as elucidated through both Raman spectroscopy and molecular dynamics simulations, are demonstrated to be critical factors in ...

Data networking evolution: Toward an all-optical n all-optical communications platform

open access: yesRevista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquia, 2014
An introduction to optical networks in which the evolution undergone by such networks is presented in order to manage the future demand on the transport of IP traffic is described. This evolution has been boosted by the deployment of all optical devices

Simulation of 1 x 2 OTDM router employing symmetric Mach-Zehnder switches [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In high-speed all-optical time division multiplexed (OTDM) routers it is desirable to carry out data routing, switching, clock recovery and synchronisation in the optical domain in order to avoid the bottleneck due to optoelectronics conversion.

Near‐Field Phonon Nanoscopy and Imaging of Structural Variants in Mixed Phase BiFeO3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nano‐Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scattering scanning near‐field optical microscopy imaging reveal the phonon response of nanoscale phase variants in mixed‐phase BiFeO3 (BFO). Direct mid‐infrared imaging of associated distinct vibrational signatures is used as a non‐invasive optical detection method for electrical switching of ...
