Integrated Ovonic Threshold Switching Selector and Resistive Switching Memory 1S1R in Electrodeposited ZnTe Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study showcases the first‐ever demonstration of ovonic threshold switching (OTS) and resistive switching (RS) in ZnTe thin films fabricated via a fast, cost‐effective electrodeposition method. By controlling the deposition potential, ZnTe film is tuned to demonstrate OTS or RS behaviors, enabling the implementation of one‐selector‐one‐resistor ...

Dynamic Excitonic Beam Switching with Atomically‐Thin Binary Blazed Gratings

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Two mirrored and interleaved blazed gratings are patterned into a monolayer WS2, contacted with gold electrodes inside an electrochemical cell. Applying a gate voltage to one of the grating electrode suppresses the exciton in that grating, enabling selective beam switching between diffractive orders.

Ultrafast Anisotropic Optical‐Gap Shift in Low‐Symmetry Layered GeS

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
This study reveals ultrafast, anisotropic optical‐gap shift dynamics in GeS. Optical excitation induces a significant redshift in the polarization along the zigzag direction, about three times greater than that along the perpendicular armchair direction.

Optical Fiber Meta‐Tips Based on Partial‐Phase Control

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Optical fibers working as beam splitters or focusing lens are demonstrated, with the aid of a metasurface integrated on the fiber end facet. Metasurfaces based on meta‐atoms featuring partial control of the phase are considered unleashing their potential.
