Full‐range wavelength switching at tunable distributed amplification‐DFB laser with high‐accuracy feedforward control

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2021
To realise an optical packet switching system, a tunable laser that can achieve high‐speed and wide‐range tuning is required. One candidate, we have studied for this role, is the tunable distributed amplification (TDA)‐distributed feedback (DFB) laser ...

Dynamic Wavelength Grouping for Quality of Service in Optical Packet Switching

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This paper concerns Quality of Service (QoS) provisioning in Optical Packet Switching (OPS) networks. We address the topic by proposing Dynamic Wavelength Grouping (DWG) for OPS, in this technique, available wavelengths are dynamically partitioned and ...

Dynamically reconfigurable optical packet switch (DROPS)

open access: yesOptics Express, 2006
A novel Dynamically Reconfigurable Optical Packet Switch (DROPS) that combines both spectral and spatial switching capabilities is proposed and experimentally demonstrated for the first time. Compared with an Arrayed Waveguide Grating Router (AWGR), the added spatial switching capability provided by the microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) enables ...

Performance Issues in Optical Burst/Packet Switching [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This chapter summarises the activities on optical packet switching (OPS) and optical burst switching (OBS) carried out by the COST 291 partners in the last 4 years. It consists of an introduction, five sections with contributions on five different specific topics, and a final section dedicated to the conclusions.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Numerical Simulation and Experiment on Optical Packet Header Recognition Utilizing Reservoir Computing Based on Optoelectronic Feedback

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2017
An optoelectronic feedback reservoir computing (RC) system that can identify optical packet headers for an optical packet switching (OPS) network is proposed and implemented by the numerical simulation and the experiment in this paper.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Olink Proteomics Analysis Reveals Heterogeneous Responses to FcRn Blockade in Anti‐AChR Antibody‐Positive Myasthenia Gravis: FGF‐19 as a Novel Biomarker

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to systematically observe the clinical manifestations, immune cell subsets, and dynamic changes in serological indicators in patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) before and after efgartigimod (EFG) treatment. Methods We analyzed the baseline data, laboratory parameters, and lymphocyte subset proportions in MG ...
