Optical Pumping in Semiconductors
1974The principles of spin orientation by optical pumping in semiconductors are recalled. Several aspects of optical pumping of free carriers are presented: determination of lifetimes and spin relaxation times, hot electron effects, spin dependent recombination, optical detection of E.S.R. and N.M.R.
