Efficient 2D adaptive beamforming algorithm based on sparse array optimisation

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
In this study, a 2D adaptive beamforming algorithm for sparse array is proposed. Firstly, a signal model based on matrix completion theory for adaptive beamforming in sparse array is established, which is proved to satisfy null space property.

A PROPOSED FRAMEWORK TO UNMIX SCATTERING MECHANISMS OF POLARIMETRIC RADAR IMAGES USING VERY HIGH RESOLUTION OPTICAL IMAGES [PDF]

open access: yesISPRS Annals of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2012
A new approach has been proposed for radar and optical image fusion. Candidate images for fusion are polarimetric radar images and very high resolution stereoscopic optical images.

Simultaneously estimating surface soil moisture and roughness of bare soils by combining optical and radar data

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Earth Observations and Geoinformation, 2021
Both radar and optical signals are sensitive to the change of surface soil moisture (SSM) and surface roughness properties (such as root mean squared height- RMSH), and the accuracy of retrieved SSM from single radar and optical remote sensing data is ...

Optical Simulation of Radar Resolution*† [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Optical Society of America, 1959
It is difficult and expensive to evaluate with radar equipment the resolution required in order that a given target be detectable. In an effort to obtain this information more cheaply and easily, an optical simulator has been constructed in which the very high resolution in an optical aerial photograph has been degraded by known amounts.

Estimation of aboveground biomass using optical and radar images (Case study: Nav-e Asalem forests, Gilan) [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات جنگل و صنوبر ایران, 2017
Using remote sensing data is an applied method to estimate above ground biomass. In this study, satellite radar data of ALOS-2, with the full polarization and the optical data of Sentinel-2, has been used to estimate the aboveground biomass in the Nav-e ...

Quantifying oil palm expansion in Southeast Asia from 2000 to 2015: A data fusion approach

open access: yesJournal of Land Use Science, 2022
The fusion of optical imagery with radar data can provide more accurate land cover change analysis of deforestation and tree-based agriculture. Radar data is limited temporally with most geographic areas not covered prior to 2007.

High-speed optical synthetic aperture radar target recognition system

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
With the development of synthetic aperture radar (SAR), it is more and more important to recognise the image obtained by SAR. SAR is a useful tool for geoscience and remote sensing, and there are a large amount of SAR images and products.
