Adaptive optical signal-to-noise ratio recovery for long-distance optical fiber transmission
In long-distance fiber optic transmission, the optic fiber link and erbium-doped fiber amplifiers can introduce excessive noise, which reduces the optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR). The narrow-band optical filters can be used to eliminate noise and thereby improve OSNR.

A reproducible synthesis to control 3D/0D phase ratios via water‐tuned solvent–antisolvent methods is presented. Enhanced scintillation yield and ultrafast decay are achieved. Defect‐driven emission mechanisms are revealed through cathodoluminescence and radioluminescence, shedding light on the underexplored role of the 0D Cs4PbBr6 and mixed 0D/3D ...

Optical signal-to-noise ratio estimator and estimation methodology for optical communication
The present invention provides a noise estimator for determining an optical signal-to-noise ratio (OSNR) value of a QAM optical signal. The noise estimator comprises an optical detector configured to directly detect the optical signal and provide an electrical QAM signal representing an instantaneous amplitude of the detected QAM optical signal.

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...
