Optical solitons with Biswas–Arshed equation by F-expansion method

, 2021
This paper recovers optical solitons with the Biswas-Arshed equation which governs the dynamics of soliton pulse propagation through optical fibers. Dark, singular, bright and combo singular solitons are emerged from the F-expansion method.

Discrete solitons in optics

Physics Reports, 2008
Abstract We provide an overview of recent experimental and theoretical developments in the area of optical discrete solitons. By nature, discrete solitons represent self-trapped wavepackets in nonlinear periodic structures and result from the interplay between lattice diffraction (or dispersion) and material nonlinearity.

Optical solitons and quantum solitons

Journal of Optics B: Quantum and Semiclassical Optics, 2004
We return to the notion of optical solitons as these were first introduced—namely as exact soliton and multi-soliton solutions of the semi-classical self-induced transparency (SIT) equations. The SIT equations, even in their most general inhomogeneously broadened forms, are infinite dimensional, completely integrable Hamiltonian systems, and thus ...

Method for finding highly dispersive optical solitons of nonlinear differential equations

, 2020
A method for finding solitary wave solutions to nonlinear differential equations is presented. A generalization for the logistic function to obtain a solitary wave solution is introduced. Properties of this basic function are discussed.

Optical solitons and conservation laws of Kudryashov's equation with improved modified extended tanh-function

Optik (Stuttgart), 2021
This paper secures and enumerates soliton solutions to Kudryashov's equation. Bright, dark and singular optical soliton solutions have been listed for the model that are recovered by improved modified extended tanh–function approach.

Bistable spheroidal optical solitons

Physical Review A, 1992
The possible forms the intensity dependence of the nonlinear refractive index would have to take for bistable light bullets to exist are examined. Bistable light bullets are propagating spheroidal optical solitons characterized by different sizes and intensity profiles but with the same energy.

HIGHLY DISPERSIVE SOLITONS IN OPTICAL COUPLERS WITH METAMATERIALS HAVING KERR LAW OF NONLINEAR REFRACTIVE INDEX

Ukrainian Journal of Physical Optics
. The present paper derives highly dispersive soliton solutions in a coupler from optical metamaterials with Kerr law of nonlinear refractive index. In nonlinear optics and photonics, these wave packets possess a unique property, allowing them to sustain

Optical solitons: Perspectives and applications

Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2000
This article serves as an introduction to the focus issue on optical solitons. After a short review of the history of solitons and the field of integrable systems, a brief overview of the development of nonlinear optics and optical solitons is provided.

Dissipative solitons for real world optical solitons

2007 Asia Optical Fiber Communication and Optoelectronics Conference, 2007
Efficient use of nonlinear dissipation enables the formation of robust optical pulses, with unique soliton properties. This way, exceptional stability of mode-locked lasers, formation of "soliton molecules", and optical regeneration schemes can be better understood.

Optical Solitons

1992
This book describes both the theoretical and experimental aspects of optical soliton generation, soliton properties and the application of optical solitons to all-optical high-bit-rate communications. Only temporal optical solitons in fibres are considered.
