Tunable Electro- and All-Optical Switch Based on Epsilon-Near-Zero Metasurface
A novel design of a tunable optical switch based on epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) metasurface is proposed, which can work as an electro-optical or an all-optical switch, and be tuned by gate-voltages, incident angles, and intensity of pump light.

Miniature Multi-Level Optical Memristive Switch Using Phase Change Material [PDF]
The optical memristive switches are electrically activated optical switches that can memorize the current state. They can be used as optical latching switches in which the switching state is changed only by applying an electrical Write/Erase pulse and maintained without external power supply.

All-optical switch based on novel physics effects
All-optical switches are among the most important parts of integrated photonics. Ultrahigh speed and ultralow energy consumption are two necessary indexes of all-optical switches.

All-optical pulse switching with a periodically driven dissipative quantum system [PDF]
All-optical switching used to switch the input optical signals without any electro-optical conversion plays a vital role in the next generation of optical information processing devices. Even all-optical switchings (AOSs) with continuous input signals have been widely studied, all-optical pulse switchings (AOPSs) whose input signals are pulse sequences

Reconfigurable Optical Directed Logic Circuits Based on Mode Division Multiplexing Technology
Reconfigurable optical directed logic circuits (RODLC) aim to perform arbitrary logic operations using the optical switch network, in which the electrical signals regarded as the logic operands are applied to the optical switch to control the propagation
