Near‐Infrared Light‐Driven Photocatalysis: From Advanced Light‐Harvesting Architectures to Rational Reactor Design

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This review systematically elucidates the regulatory strategies for NIR light, encompassing macroscopic mechanisms such as band engineering, localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), upconversion luminescence, and photosensitizer molecules. Furthermore, it provides an in‐depth discussion on their cutting‐edge applications in energy conversion (e.g ...

Edged Donor–Acceptor Engineering in Conjugated Organic Polymers for Cocatalyst‐Free Photocatalytic H2 Evolution

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
A terminal donor–acceptor pair is constructed at the edge of sulfone‐based conjugated polymers to establish intramolecular charge transfer paths. This design activates dual‐role active sites for proton adsorption and electron acceptance, achieving efficient cocatalyst‐free photocatalytic hydrogen evolution through optimized kinetics and tunable D‐A ...

Rapid Joule‐Heating‐Induced Non‐Equilibrium Exsolution in Perovskite Oxides for Enhanced Photothermal CO2 Methanation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Rapid Joule heating induces Ni—Fe exsolution from perovskite oxides, forming Ni–Fe/oxide heterointerfaces that enhance photothermal CO2 methanation activity and selectivity. Achieving selective CO2 methanation under photothermal conditions requires catalysts capable of maintaining non‐equilibrium interfacial states that balance reduction and oxidation ...

Glycerol‐Modified Biphasic Silicone Gel for Synergistic Thermal Transport and Dielectric Reliability

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A surfactant‐free glycerol‐modified biphasic silicone gel establishes metastable liquid interfaces that simultaneously enhance phonon transport and induce deep traps (1.28 eV), enabling synergistic electrothermal performance of enhanced thermal conductivity (+33.3%), thermal diffusivity (+48.3%), and DC breakdown strength (+57.6%) with suppressed space

Detection of Legionella Bacteria Using a Silicon‐Based Photonic Microring Resonator Biosensor Enhanced by Dielectrophoresis

open access: yesELECTROPHORESIS, EarlyView.
Silicon photonic biosensors enable label‐free, highly sensitive detection but struggle with living bacteria due to inefficient cell binding on nanoscale surfaces. We integrate a microring resonator with a dielectrophoretic electrode, actively concentrating Legionella cells near the sensor using alternating electric fields.
