Optically stimulated luminescence in forensics
Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2005Tracking the former location of a radioactive source represents an attractive attribute in today's society, where the threat of a radiological dispersal device (RDD) is considered high. Development of a novel, retrospective detection technique based on optically stimulated luminescence is underway. This will allow confirmation of the former location of

Optically stimulated luminescence in doped NaCl
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2016OSL in doped NaF is studied. Study shows that NaF:Mg,Cu,P phosphor possess good OSL properties having sensitivity comparable to that of commercially available Al2O3:C (Landauer Inc.). For the luminescence averaged over 3s the obtained OSL is 37% of that commercial available Al2O3:C.

Optically Stimulated Luminescence in Retrospective Dosimetry
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2002Since the beginning of the 1990s the exploration of optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) in retrospective accident dosimetry has driven an intensive investigation and development programme at Risø into measurement facilities and techniques. This paper reviews some of the outcomes of this programme, including the evaluation of the single-aliquot ...

Optically Stimulated Luminescent Glass Optical Fibre Dosemeter
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2002An optical fibre radiation dosemeter has been developed that utilises optically stimulated luminescence and scintillation to provide independent, remote, real-time dose measurements. The radiation sensitive element consists of a 1 mm long, 0.4 mm diameter piece of copper-ion-doped fused quartz that is attached to a 1 m length of commercial optical ...

Optically stimulated luminescence in enaminones
Radiation Physics and Chemistry, 2020Abstract This work presents the first experimental results of optically stimulated luminescence in organic crystals type enaminones. Samples were synthesized by means of the condensation reaction of acetylacetone with four aromatics amines in acid medium.

Optically Stimulated Luminescence Dosimetry
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 1983Abstract Optically stimulated luminescence from MgS:Eu,Sm phosphors is characterised. First analysis shows that this method has some interesting features for dosimetry measurments: high sensitivity, non heating and fast reading time can be retained. Widespread use of this technique will require some complementary investigations.

Optically stimulated luminescence of persistent luminescence materials
Journal of Luminescence, 2006Abstract For around ten years, intense attention has been devoted to materials which exhibit strong persistent luminescence. The Eu 2+ doped SrAl 2 O 4 is probably the best one. Co-doping with other trivalent rare earth ions, especially with Dy 3+ , enhances the persistent luminescence.

Optically stimulated luminescence of Al2O3
Radiation Measurements, 1998Abstract Anion-deficient aluminum oxide doped with carbon (Al 2 O 3 :C) is not only an extremely sensitive thermoluminescence (TL) material, but is well suited to optically stimulated luminescence OSL applications due to a high cross-section for interaction of light with radiation-induced trapped charge.

Optically stimulated luminescence dosimetry
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 2001Abstract Models and the conceptual framework necessary for an understanding of optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) are described. Examples of various OSL readout schemes are described, along with examples of the use of OSL in radiation dosimetry.

Optically Stimulated Luminescence Dating of sediments
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2000Optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) dating methodology was applied on the coarse grain fraction (100÷500 μm thick) of quartz crystals (green light stimulated luminescence, GLSL) and feldspar crystals (infrared stimulated luminescence, IRSL) taken from sections at different depths of cores bored in various coastal lagoons (Longarini, Cuba, Bruno) in
