La datation du Paléolithique moyen et ancien par OSL. Apports et nouveautés à travers l’exemple du site de Romentères

open access: yesArchéopages, 2010
The method known as OSL dating, or Optically Stimulated Luminescence, can be applied to any commonly found mineral exposed to daylight before it was buried and allows us to date any sedimentary deposit containing such minerals.

Late Quaternary Drainage Rearrangement Prevents the Vegetation Development in the La Tatacoa Intermontane Basin of the Colombian Andes

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science, 2022
The Tatacoa Desert (TD) is a Cenozoic basin between the Central and Eastern Cordilleras in the southern Colombian Andes. Its sparse vegetation and Badlands morphology resemble a semi-arid environment, despite receiving ∼1,300 mm of mean annual ...

Investigation into main luminescence properties of various natural salt samples using TL and OSL tecniques

open access: yesФізика і хімія твердого тіла
In this study, the natural salt minerals of Turkey were investigated using Thermoluminescence (TL) and optically stimulated luminescence (OSL). For this purpose, luminescence dosimetric properties such as glow curve shape, fading, dose-response ratio ...

Water Permeates and Plasticizes Amorphous Carbon Dots: Unraveling the Inner Accessibility of the Nanoparticles by Glass Transition Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and
