Manufacturing problems such as heat treatment‐induced cracking hinder the widespread application of the laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) process to superalloys. In this study, cracks in the LPBF components of Inconel 738LC superalloy are characterized after heat treatment at various temperature ranges, revealing two distinct cracking behaviors.

Approximate Pareto Optimal Solutions of Multi objective Optimal Control Problems by Evolutionary Algorithms [PDF]
In this paper an approach based on evolutionary algorithms to find Pareto optimal pair of state and control for multi-objective optimal control problems (MOOCP)'s is introduced.

Digitalizing electroplating requires both domain knowledge and interoperability. This work introduces PlatOn, a domain ontology for trivalent chromium plating and coating characterization, and a hybrid pipeline that aligns it to a mid‐level reference ontology by combining eight similarity metrics with language model reasoning. Expert‐validated mappings

During creep of a single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloy, the overall crystal orientation is observed to remain constant while the microstructure evolves. Despite the lack of macroscopic rotation, small (<1°) rotations are observed on the submicron size scale and are accommodated by counteracting rotations over the scale of several micrometers.

Mixed Cost Function and State Constrains Optimal Control Problems
In this paper, we analyze an optimal control problem with a mixed cost function, which combines a terminal cost at the final state and an integral term involving the state and control variables.

Solvate ionic liquids lubrication reduced the coefficient of friction by ∼60% compared to dry sliding, reaching steady‐state values as low as 0.04–0.05. Corrosion weight‐loss measurements in 1 M HCl further demonstrated significant inhibition behavior, with only 100 ppm of [Li(G3)][TFSI] (∼68.5 μL/L) reducing corrosion‐product weight loss by 63 ...
