Optimal load shedding with dynamic market modeling
2002 IEEE Power Engineering Society Winter Meeting. Conference Proceedings (Cat. No.02CH37309), 2003Load shedding is one of the challenging problems in deregulated power systems. This paper studies the load-shedding problem with a dynamic power market model. To establish this model, the characteristic of the power market is analyzed first. Then the parameters in this model are estimated by a recursive weighted least square method.

Optimal load shedding strategy based on particle swarm optimization

Optimal Load Shedding using AHP and OKA
International Journal of Power and Energy Systems, 2005This article presents a new approach to studying the optimal load-shedding problem in power systems. An analytic hierarchical process (AHP) and network flow programming (NFP) are adopted for implementing this approach. The optimal load-shedding scheme should be minimum load curtailment and maximum system benefits, while satisfying the network security.

Optimal PSS Design Using Particle Swarm Optimization Under Load Shedding Condition
2020 International Seminar on Intelligent Technology and Its Applications (ISITIA), 2020Power System Stabilizer (PSS) is a supplementary control that provides additional control actions on the excitation side of the generator. In this study a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based tuning method is proposed to optimize the PSS parameters. PSO optimization results obtained optimal tuning results and fast computing processes.
