In this chapter, the concept of the turbine placement optimization problem is introduced. The basic problem is easy to describe: Multiple turbines i with the location t i for \( i = 1, \ldots ,N_{t} \) should be placed on a map with the size \( m = m_{x} \cdot m_{y} \). It is not about finding areas where wind turbines may be placed.
