A Soft, Flexible Implant for Wireless Photothermal–Pyroelectric Neurostimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A replication strategy is used to enlarge the exposed surface area of barium titanate within flexible films with embedded carbon nanotubes, enabling efficient photothermal‐pyroelectric stimulation. Polar crystalline nanosheets show superior performance in guiding neural progenitor cells toward neuronal differentiation.

Surface Graphitized Mesoporous Carbon Surpasses the Conductivity–Porosity Trade‐Off

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electrochemical cathodic polarization in molten CaCl2‐NaCl converts mesoporous carbon (MC) into surface‐graphitized mesoporous graphite, simultaneously increasing surface area (397–867 m2/g) and electrical conductivity (26–450 S/cm) without mass loss.

Inactivation Rap2a in Endothelial Cell Prevents Pulmonary Fibrosis by Regulating Immune Microenvironment Through MAP4K4‐VCAM1 Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We identified the endothelial RAP2A as a regulator of inflammatory endothelial activation in experimental lung fibrosis and suggest that targeting RAP2A‐mediated signaling may represent a potential strategy to modulate endothelial–immune crosstalk during fibrotic lung injury.

High‐Resolution Multispectral Photovoltaic Imagers from Visible to Short‐Wave Infrared

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a monolithic quad‐spectral imager that seamlessly integrates visible and short‐wave infrared detection on a single chip. Through direct photopatterning of an all‐polymer bulk heterojunction and colloidal quantum dots, the device achieves high‐resolution (640 × 512) imaging across 350–2400 nm, enabling multispectral capture for ...

SAGE: Spatially Aware Gene Selection and Dual‐View Embedding Fusion for Domain Identification in Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SAGE is a unified framework for spatial domain identification in spatial transcriptomics that jointly models tissue architecture and gene programs. Topic‐driven gene selection (NMF plus classifier‐based scoring) highlights spatially informative genes, while dual‐view graph embedding fuses local expression and non‐local functional relations.

Adhesive Tape‐Inspired Polymer Coatings Enable Record‐Stable Zinc Anodes for High‐Rate Aqueous Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An adhesive tape–inspired anode stabilization strategy is proposed by grafting poly(methyl methacrylate) onto natural rubber. The resulting copolymer coating exhibits elasticity, adhesion, and ion‐selective nanodomains, which lower Zn2+ desolvation barriers, guide deposition to the stable (002) facet, and ensure intimate interfacial contact, delivering

Electronic Modulation of K⁺‐Intercalated Polymeric Carbon Nitride via ─C≡N/─OH Functionalization for Efficient Photocatalytic H2O2 Production

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
K+ is successfully embedded in the PCN interlayers via a high‐temperature polymerization. The incorporation of K+ perturbs the local electronic structure via interaction with nitrogen lone pairs, narrowing the PCN bandgap, which exhibits superior photocatalytic performance, achieving a high H2O2 generation rate both in situ and under sunlight ...

Unsupervised Hierarchical Symbolic Regression for Interpretable Property Modeling in Complex Multi‐Variable Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
UHSR translates complex chemical behavior into clear and explainable equations. Applied to thin‐layer chromatography, it automatically uncovers the mathematical rules linking a molecule's structure to its polarity. This approach matches the accuracy of advanced AI while providing interpretable results, earning greater trust from chemists. The method is

Systematic Metabolic Engineering and Model‐Guided Optimization for High‐Level Production of L‐Theanine from Xylose in Escherichia coli

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study is pioneering in constructing the shortest known synthetic pathway for L‐theanine production from xylose within E coli. Through comprehensive metabolic engineering strategies, our engineered strain achieved the highest reported L‐theanine titer from xylose, with a titer of 95.42 g/L, and a yield of 0.55 g/g.
