Cumulant based stochastic optimal power flow (S-OPF) for variance optimization
IEEE Power Engineering Society General Meeting, 2005, 2005This paper presents a cumulant method based solution for stochastic optimal power flow (S-OPF) including a variance minimization objective function. In this case, the objective of the problem is to minimize the variance of the active power generation at the slack bus by optimizing the decision variables given uncertainty in loading levels.

Convexifying optimal power flow: Recent advances in OPF solution methods
2013 American Control Conference, 2013The optimal power flow (OPF) problem is nonconvex and generally hard to solve, see e.g. [1], [2]. In this tutorial, we will provide an overview of two different solution approaches. The first uses the bus injection model, which is the standard model for power flow analysis and optimization.

Introduction to Cumulant-Based Probabilistic Optimal Power Flow (P-OPF)
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2005This letter introduces the cumulant method for the probabilistic optimal power flow (P-OPF) problem. The proposed adaptation of the cumulant method to the P-OPF problem is given.

Abstract This paper presents a straightforward compromising methodology of dynamic economic and emission AROPF (active-reactive optimal power flow). AROPF considering environmental effects is a highly nonlinear problem, and the dynamic consideration of such problems makes it even more complicated and extra-high nonlinear; find an appropriate ...
