Optimal scheduling of the stand‐alone micro grids considering the reliability cost

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering
In order to prevent wastage of generated power of renewable resources, the energy storage systems can be utilized in the stand‐alone micro grids to store the excess produced power of the renewable generation units.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Source-network-load-storage collaborated two-stage power dispatch of active distribution network with conditional value-at-risk

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
The high penetration of distributed wind turbines (WT) and photovoltaics (PV) brings temporal volatility and uncertainty to their output, posing significant challenges to the optimal scheduling of distribution networks.

Optimal Scheduling Method for a Regional Integrated Energy System Considering Joint Virtual Energy Storage

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Energy storage equipment is an important part of integrated energy systems, but the construction and operational costs of it are great. Therefore, it’s difficult to apply energy storage equipment on a large scale.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Optimal scheduling of smart reconfigurable neighbour micro‐grids

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2019
Future smart distribution networks will include micro-grids (MGs) that are working in the neighbourhood. Owing to the penetration of renewable energy sources with probabilistic nature as well as deviation of load, MG may be faced with an overload or ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
