Pareto Optimal Path Generation Algorithm in Stochastic Transportation Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Routing problems play a crucial part in urban transportation network operation and management. This study addresses the problem of finding a set of non-dominated shortest paths in stochastic transportation networks.

An algorithm for solving a capacitated indefinite quadratic transportation problem with enhanced flow [PDF]

open access: yesYugoslav Journal of Operations Research, 2014
The present paper discusses enhanced flow in a capacitated indefinite quadratic transportation problem. Sometimes, situations arise where either reserve stocks have to be kept at the supply points say, for emergencies, or there may be extra ...

Optimal mass transportation and Mather theory

open access: yes, 2007
We study optimal transportation of measures on compact manifolds for costs defined from convex Lagrangians. We prove that optimal transportation can be interpolated by measured Lipschitz laminations, or geometric currents.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Optimal roadworks schedule in multi-agent transportation models

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Transport and Infrastructure Research
In this paper we consider the problem of the optimal roadworks scheduling in the road traffic network optimization. The main goal of this research is to find the optimal order of roadworks and minimize their negative impact on the transportation network

Study on Route Optimization of Methanol Safety Transportation Routing

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2017
Optimal routing is an important part of the methanol road transportation research. Optimal routing of methanol is different from those general optimal routing processes.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

An optimal transportation approach for assessing almost stochastic order

open access: yes, 2017
When stochastic dominance $F\leq_{st}G$ does not hold, we can improve agreement to stochastic order by suitably trimming both distributions. In this work we consider the $L_2-$Wasserstein distance, $\mathcal W_2$, to stochastic order of these trimmed ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The influence of transportation costs and environmental damage on social welfare under asymmetric multi-market mixed oligopoly

open access: yesInnovation and Green Development
This study investigates how transportation costs and environmental damage affect social welfare and the optimal degree of nationalization by assuming asymmetric mixed oligopoly markets.
