Chemoselective or Regioselective?

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
The current definitions of chemoselectivity and regioselectivity lack sufficient clarity and allow for the ambiguous labeling of reported reaction selectivities in some instances. This article proposes a rationale and simplified definitions of these terms that will facilitate an unambiguous description of the observed reaction selectivity.

Effects of pressure depletion rate, solvent, and surfactant on non‐equilibrium reactions in foamy oil

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Overview of the Investigation into the Effective Operating Parameters of the Foamy Oil Process. Abstract This research employed a visual method to explore the behaviour of foamy oil in heavy oil systems. A Hele‐Shaw cell was designed for observing the volumetric expansion of foamy oil as the system pressure decreased.

Suppressed Nonradiative Recombination in 2D Reduced‐ Graphene‐ Oxide (rGO)‐Wrapped 3D MoS2 Microflower

open access: yesChemPhotoChem, EarlyView.
This study explores the synthesis and characterization of MoS₂‐rGO nanocomposites via a two‐step chemical process. The resulting flower‐like microspheres exhibit enhanced PL due to d‐electron hopping, as confirmed by HRTEM, Raman, and XPS. The findings emphasize MoS₂‐rGO's potential in optoelectronics, showcasing improved charge carrier dynamics ...
