Logical Wormhole Prevention in Optimized Link State Routing Protocol
IEEE GLOBECOM 2007-2007 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2007A particularly severe attack on routing protocols in ad hoc networks is the so-called wormhole attack in which two or more colluding attacking nodes record packets at one location, and tunnel them to another location for a replay at that remote location.

On the secure optimized link state routing (SOLSR) protocol for MANETs
2017 12th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE), 2017A plethora of routing protocols are available for effective and efficient data dissemination in MANETs. But due to broadcast nature of wireless communications, these protocols are prone to diverse security attacks. In this work, the Secure Optimized Link State Routing (SOLSR) protocol is proposed to fill the breach for security attacks while finding ...

Optimal path selection in a link state QoS routing protocol
2004 IEEE 59th Vehicular Technology Conference. VTC 2004-Spring (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37514), 2005A link state routing approach makes available detailed information about the connectivity and the topology found in a network. The OLSR (optimized link state routing) protocol is an optimization of the classical link state algorithm tailored to the requirements of a mobile wireless LAN.

DS-OLSR – Disaster Scenario Optimized Link State Routing Protocol
2020 12th International Symposium on Communication Systems, Networks and Digital Signal Processing (CSNDSP), 2020The success of disaster recovery and rescue operations depends largely on effective communication between rescue teams (RT) and victims. Unfortunately, certain disasters go beyond crippling/impairing communication infrastructures as it equally cripples power grids, which make it impossible for survivors to recharge mobile communication devices.

Revisiting multipoint relay selection in the optimized link state routing protocol
International Journal of Communication Networks and Distributed Systems, 2009The objective of the multipoint relay (MPR) technique is to reduce the number of redundant retransmissions, while ensuring reliable delivery of broadcast messages in wireless networks. To do this, it is necessary to select a small set of re-transmitter nodes, called multipoint relays.

Extended Multicast Optimized Link State Routing Protocol in MANETs with Asymmetric Links
IEEE GLOBECOM 2007-2007 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2007Optimized link state routing (OLSR) protocol has been presented as a proactive unicast routing protocol tailored for mobile ad-hoc network (MANET). With some modifications, the multicast optimized link state routing protocol (MOLSR) is applied to multicast data dissemination.

MOLSR: Mobile-agent based optimized Link State Routing Protocol
2015 International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC), 2015The popularity of Mobile Ad Hoc networks (MANETs) continues to increase due to the technological advances in wireless radios and wireless networks. Given the unpredictability of the wireless medium, one of the major challenges in MANETs remains to be the efficiency of the underlying routing protocol.

Impact of mobility models on Optimized Link State Routing Protocol in MANET
2016 International Conference on Wireless Networks and Mobile Communications (WINCOM), 2016Mobile ad hoc Networks (MANET) is considered as advanced wireless networks. This network have their applications in various fields of life. We considered the mobility of nodes in the network as a key of the researchers. In this paper we have evaluated the impact of diverse mobility models on the performance of routing protocol Optimized Link State ...

An IDS for detecting misbehavior nodes in optimized link state routing protocol
2010 2nd International Conference on Computer Technology and Development, 2010Several approaches have been proposed for Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) in Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs). Due to lack of MANETs infrastructure and well defined perimeter MANETs are susceptible to a variety of attacker types. To develop a strong security scheme it is necessary to understand how malicious nodes can attack the MANETs.

A feedback reputation mechanism to secure the optimized link state routing protocol
2007 Third International Conference on Security and Privacy in Communications Networks and the Workshops - SecureComm 2007, 2007We consider the problem of securing routing information in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs). Focusing on the Optimized Link State Routing protocol, we devise a feedback reputation mechanism which assesses the integrity of routing control traffic by correlating local routing data with feedback messages sent by the receivers of control traffic.
