Optimum Designs for Optimum Mixtures in Multiresponse Experiments
Communications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, 2013Optimal designs for estimating the parameters and also the optimum factor combinations in multiresponse experiments have been considered by various authors. However, till date, in mixture experiments optimum designs have been studied only in the single response case.

THE DESIGN OF OPTIMUM MULTIFACTORIAL EXPERIMENTS
Biometrika, 1946Abstract A problem which often occurs in the design of an experiment in physical or industrial research is that of determining suitable tolerances for the components of a certain assembly; more generally of ascertaining, the effect of quantitative or qualitative alterations in the various components upon some measured characteristic ...

Optimum Design for Teleconsultation Systems
2005 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology 27th Annual Conference, 2005We analyse the clinical process of patient referral developed and in routine use for over 5 year at Chorleywood Health Centre, UK. The system combines diagnostics performed in primary care with results forwarded to the consultant in electronic form. Patients may then be referred for teleconsultation between patient and local health care professional ...

Optimum reliabilities and optimum design
Structural Safety, 1986Abstract The designer's task is to optimize. Designing for an intuitively fixed reliability is almost as arbitrary as designing for an intuitively fixed safety factor. Efforts to improve the calculation of reliabilities of proposed designs are commendable but sterile unless we take the additional step of optimizing the design reliabilities associated

On the Optimum Design of Shells
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1960A procedure is developed for obtaining the design of an elastic, perfectly plastic shell or structure which will support prescribed loads and which is the optimum design for a given criterion. The action of body forces is included in the analysis.

Uniqueness in the Optimum Design of Structures
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1961A procedure was developed previously [1] for the determination of the optimum design of a sandwich shell or structure. The uniqueness of the optimum design obtained by this procedure is investigated and it is shown that all optimum designs admit a common collapse mode.

Analysis and optimum design of the FFB
Proceedings of IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems - ISCAS '94, 2002A low complexity high selectivity fast filter bank (FFB) which does not involve down-sampling and up-sampling of signals has been developed. Since a single sampling rate is used throughout the filtering process, aliasing problem does not exist. The FFB was derived from the FFT. In this paper, we present an alternative derivation for the FFB.
