Cancer Cell‐Intrinsic Cholesterol Induces Lipid‐Associated Macrophage Differentiation via SP1 Palmitoylation to Promote Prostate Cancer Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cancer cell‐intrinsic cholesterol promotes the S‐palmitoylation of SP1, increasing its nuclear translocation and driving the transcription and secretion of MDK, which in turn facilitates the differentiation of macrophages into a lipid‐associated phenotype.

A Hydrodynamic Bioreactor for High‐Yield Production of Extracellular Vesicles from Stem Cell Spheroids with Defined Cargo Profiling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study harnesses hydrodynamic flows to generate, confine and stimulate stem cell spheroids, enabling the large‐scale production of extracellular vesicles (EVs). This innovative method not only streamlines spheroid formation and subsequent EV release in a single, integrated process, but also ensures the generation of EVs with enhanced biological ...

Intelligent Stain‐Free Histology on Structural Colorimetric Nanocavities

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chen and Gan et al. introduce a label‐free imaging platform using inexpensive Nanocavity‐on‐Silicon (NOS) slides. These slides transform subtle tissue variations into vivid structural colors, enabling high‐contrast histological imaging under a regular optical microscope. This stain‐free approach reveals morphological details comparable to traditional H&

Preservation of Complex Multiphase Architectures in Polymer‐Based Artificial Cells by Photo‐Crosslinking

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase separation organizes cellular components, yet stabilizing such dynamic structures in artificial cells remains challenging. A photo‐crosslinking approach is presented that prolongs the lifetime of different structures in coacervate‐based artificial cells while maintaining dynamic formation.

Meta‐GWAS of Pig Semen Quality Traits Reveals Conserved Genes Regulating Mammalian Fertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study incorporated 14 210 individuals to perform a GWAS meta‐analysis of six semen quality traits. The GWAS meta‐analysis identifies 234 GWAS loci associated with semen quality traits. The incorporation with a functional genomics resource explains potential genetic regulation of ∼40% GWAS signals underlying semen quality traits.
