Magnetic field-induced plasmonic enhancement of near infrared fluorescence from a Magnetoplasmonic nanoplatform for bioimaging applications

open access: yesJournal of Nanobiotechnology
A phenomenon of plasmon-enhanced fluorescence (PEF) arises from interactions between fluorophores and metal nanostructures, leading to a substantial amplification of the fluorescence signal.

Sacrificial‐Layer‐Assisted Heat‐Affected‐Zone Suppression in Laser Patterning of PET for High‐Performance Flexible Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A removable sacrificial polymer layer engineers the thermal boundary condition during nanosecond laser ablation of PET, suppressing heat‐affected‐zone formation without relying on costly ultrafast lasers. This strategy enables deep, high‐aspect‐ratio trenches with no detectable heat‐affected zone, templating silver‐filled mesh electrodes with record ...

Nitride MXenes Beyond Carbides: Bridging the Gap Between Computational Prediction and Experimental Realization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nitride MXenes remain constrained by a persistent gap between computational prediction and experimental realization. This Review identifies the thermodynamic, kinetic, and chemical barriers limiting their synthesis, critically evaluates emerging fabrication routes, and proposes a multidimensional computational‐experimental framework to accelerate the ...

Drop‐on‐Demand Printed Negative Dielectric Anisotropy Liquid Crystal Droplets for Adaptive Complex Beam Manipulation and Assessment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Printed negative‐dielectric‐anisotropy liquid‐crystal droplets enable multidimensional full‐vectorial optical‐field sensing across polarization, phase, and wavelength, while also generating tunable skyrmionic‐like complex optical fields. ABSTRACT Adaptive manipulation of vectorial optical fields is important for optical metrology, imaging, and ...

A New Strategy for Creating Quantum Light Emitters Via Post‐Growth Hydrogen‐Ion Irradiation of III‐V Nanowires

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A post‐growth method is demonstrated to realize energy‐tunable quantum emitters in GaAs/GaAsN/GaAs core–multishell nanowires on a Si substrate. By combining the N‐induced bandgap reduction with H‐ion irradiation, the GaAsN potential landscape is engineered, enabling isolated, narrow emission lines that function as single‐photon sources with g(2)(0) ∼ 0.

Current‐Driven Chirality Detection of Magnetic Textures in Cylindrical Nanowires

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Current‐assisted anisotropic magnetoresistance measurements in individual Ni/Au cylindrical nanowires enable detection of vortex chirality near Au segments and selective magnetic reversal in defined wire sections at magnetic fields lower than the propagation field. This approach provides a simple, cost‐effective, and non‐invasive method for probing and
