Enhancing Optoelectronic Properties in Phthalocyanine‐Based SURMOFs: Synthesis of ABAB Linkers by Avoiding Statistical Condensation with Tailored Building Blocks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.

Optoelectronic devices, plasmonics and photonics with topological insulators [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Topological insulators are innovative materials with semiconducting bulk together with surface states forming a Dirac cone, which ensure metallic conduction in the surface plane. Therefore, topological insulators represent an ideal platform for optoelectronics and photonics.

Inter‐Layer Diffusion of Excitations in 2D Perovskites Revealed by Photoluminescence Reabsorption

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Inter‐layer diffusion of photoexcitations is monitored in thin films of the 2D perovskite (PEA)2PbI4 by tracking time‐dependent changes in photoluminescence spectra induced by photon reabsorption effects. A low out‐of‐plane excitation diffusion coefficient of 0.26 × 10−4 cm2 s−1 is determined through 1D diffusion modeling.

Locally Phase-Engineered MoTe$_2$ for Near-Infrared Photodetectors [PDF]

open access: yes
Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are ideal systems for two-dimensional (2D) optoelectronic applications, owing to their strong light-matter interaction and various band gap energies. New techniques to modify the crystallographic phase of TMDs have recently been discovered, allowing the creation of lateral heterostructures and the design of all ...

Temperature dependent dynamics of photoexcited carriers of Si2Te3 nanowires

open access: yes, 2018
We report an optical study of the dynamics of photoexcited carriers in Si2Te3 nanowires at various temperatures and excitation powers. Si2Te3 nanowires were synthesized, by using gold as a catalyst, on a silicon substrate by the chemical vapor deposition

Biointerfacing with AgBiS2 Quantum Dots for Pseudocapacitive Photostimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
It is demonstrated that AgBiS2 quantum dots exhibit unique photoinduced pseudocapacitive charge transfer properties, enabling efficient light‐to‐electrical energy conversion. These quantum dots facilitate enhanced light absorption and transduction when integrated with ZnO nanowires, which serve as an effective charge transport medium.
