In Situ Synthesized Glycerol‐Releasing Nanocarriers Unlock Superlubricity in Oil‐Based Lubricants
Macromolecular Materials and Engineering, EarlyView.This study presents an in situ synthesis of glycerol‐based nanocarriers in hydrophobic lubricant oils via inverse miniemulsion polymerization. Encapsulating glycerol within a glycerol‐based polyurethane shell resolves miscibility issues between glycerol and the hydrophobic base oil, yielding novel nanoadditives with tunable glycerol loading.
