Oral Contraceptives and Platelet Function

Thrombosis and Haemostasis, 1972
SummaryPlatelet function was studied in women receiving two oral oestrogen-progestagen compounds (Neogynon and Noracyclin-22). Platelet count, adhesiveness, spreading, aggregation (PAT) and thromboelastography (TEG) were studied twice monthly for six months in 186 cycles. Platelet counts in rotated plasma were decreased in both groups.

Oral Functions of Patients with Myasthenia Gravis

Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, 1998
With the use of the methods developed to quantify oral dysfunctions in bulbar MG patients, our results indicate that we can distinguish the patients from their matched controls. These results can add to our knowledge of myasthenia gravis and these methods may improve diagnosis and therapy evaluation in individual patients.

Restrictions in oral functions caused by oral manifestations of epidermolysis bullosa

European Journal of Dermatology, 2011
Several forms of epidermolysis bullosa (EB) present oral manifestations. Blistering of the (peri)oral mucosa affects the opening of the mouth, the mobility of the tongue and lips, thereby restricting oral functions. We describe the prevalence and characteristics of oral manifestations of EB in relation to loss of oral functions in a cross-sectional ...
