The influence of bypass procedures and other anatomical changes in the gastrointestinal tract on the oral bioavailability of drugs [PDF]
The gastrointestinal (GI) tract plays an important role in the absorption of orally administered drugs. However, in some cases the anatomy of the GI tract is changed due to GI surgery, which has the potential of influencing drug bioavailability.

Mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanoghosts (MSC‐NGs) mimic naturally secreted extracellular vesicles (MSC‐EVs) in structure and physicochemical properties but can be synthesized at more translatable yields. As osteogenic agents, MSC‐NGs demonstrate superior outcomes compared to MSC‐EVs.

The temporary transition of macrophages from a pro‐inflammatory phenotype of macrophages (M1) to an anti‐inflammatory phenotype of macrophages (M2) is crucial for tissue repair and regeneration processes. Bacterial outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) are utilized as a “trojan horse” for specific M1 macrophage‐targeting and anti‐inflammatory drug delivery ...

A Rare Case of Multiple Myeloma Identified Following the Diagnosis of Amyloidosis of the Tongue
Amyloidosis is a disease in which amyloid protein is deposited in organs and tissues, resulting in functional impairment. Amyloidosis occurs in 12%–30% of patients with multiple myeloma, but in rare cases, amyloidosis may precede the diagnosis of ...

Eco‐friendly nanowave‐textured implants produced via femtosecond laser fabrication enhance bone regeneration by orchestrating a precise mechanotransduction cascade. This nanotopography directs mesenchymal stem cell alignment and cytoskeletal organization, triggering changes in nuclear shape and chromatin acetylation that prime cells for osteogenesis ...

Supervariate Gel Transforms into Various Biominerals in Salt Solutions
It is revealed that common calcium‐based biominerals can form from a stable, non‐toxic ‘supervariate’ gel. This tunable gel selectively yields calcite or hydroxyapatite in carbonate/phosphate solutions, while CaCl₂ facilitates the formation of dihydrate calcium pyrophosphate, which converts to hydroxyapatite upon drying. These findings provide insights
