A Novel Discrete-Time Leslie–Gower Model with the Impact of Allee Effect in Predator Population
The discrete-time system has more complex and chaotic dynamical behaviors as compared to the continuous-time system. This paper extends a discrete Leslie–Gower predator-prey system with the Allee effect in the predator’s population, whose dynamics are ...

Orbital flips due to solar radiation pressure for space debris in near-circular orbits [PDF]
Abstract Orbital plane flips, a transition from prograde to retrograde motion or vice versa, is a phenomenon due to solar radiation pressure that is investigated. We consider initial near-circular orbits with different inclinations, including the vicinity of orbits of the GNSS satellites, GEO, geosynchronous orbits, and super-GEO region.

Orbit structure of interval exchange transformations with flip [PDF]
A sharp bound on the number of invariant components of an interval exchange transformation is provided. More precisely, it is proved that the number of periodic components n_per and the number of minimal components n_min of an interval exchange transformation of n intervals satisfy n_per+2 n_min\le n.

Spin coherent manipulation in Josephson weak links
Novel designs of Josephson weak links based on semiconducting nanowires combined with circuit QED techniques have enabled the resolution of their fine structure due to spin-orbit interactions, opening a path towards Andreev spin qubits.

Development of an Autonomous Redundant Attitude Determination System for Cubesats [PDF]
This work deals with the problem of the design of an autonomous redundant system for the attitude determination of nanosatellites. The system consists of a circuit board equipped with three microcontrollers, a magnetic field sensor in three axes, and ...

Majorana bound states in a disordered quantum dot chain
We study Majorana bound states in a disordered chain of semiconductor quantum dots proximity-coupled to an s -wave superconductor. By calculating its topological quantum number, based on the scattering-matrix method and a tight-binding model, we can ...

Relativistic MRSF-TDDFT is developed considering the spin-orbit coupling (SOC) within the mean-field approximation. The resulting SOC-MRSF faithfully reproduces the experiments with very high accuracy, which is also consistent with the values by four ...

Hadron polarization control schemes for Spin Transparent (ST) synchrotrons are analyzed. The spin dynamics and beam polarization in such synchrotrons are controlled by spin navigators (SN) which are special small insertions of weak magnetic fields. An SN

Spin-polarized transport in a quasi-1D wire with Rashba dots
A numerical study on spin-polarized transport properties in a quasi-one-dimensional wire with Rashba quantum dots is presented. The ballistic spin transmission probability and spin density profiles are obtained using the quantum transmitting boundary ...

Rashba coupling and spin switching through surface states of Dirac semimetals
We study the effect of the Rashba spin–orbit coupling on the Fermi arcs of topological Dirac semimetals. The Rashba coupling is induced by breaking the inversion symmetry at the surface. Remarkably, this coupling could be enhanced by the interaction with
