Paclitaxel induces NM2‐dependent cellular contraction through GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and RhoA/ROCK activation in cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Taxanes are widely used chemotherapeutics whose effects on cellular mechanics remain poorly understood. We show that paclitaxel induces rapid cellular contraction by promoting GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and non‐muscle myosin II activation through RhoA/ROCK.

Gauss-Radau Small-body Simulator (GRSS): An Open-source Library for Planetary Defense

open access: yesThe Planetary Science Journal
We present GRSS , a small-body propagation and orbit determination library specifically designed for planetary defense applications. GRSS is an end-to-end, open-source software tool that begins with optical observations obtained from the Minor Planet ...

Precise Orbit Propagation of Geostationary Satellite Using Cowell's Method [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 1997
To calculate the position and velocity of the artificial satellite precisely, one has to broil a mathematical model concerning the perturbations by understanding and analysing the space environment correctly and then quantifying.

Random Error Estimation and Propagation Analysis for Satellites’ Initial Positions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Aerospace Engineering, 2023
An increasing number of satellites are currently being launched into orbit to work in the form of clusters or constellations. However, the initial orbit position is accompanied by random errors, which will propagate during their running.

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Analytical model for the propagation of small debris objects clouds after fragmentations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Current debris evolutionary models usually neglect fragments smaller than 10 cm because of the high computational effort they add to the simulation. However, small-debris objects can also be dangerous to operational satellites.

Performance Evaluation of High-Frequency Mobile Satellite Communications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Communication satellites have a much longer propagation delay than terrestrial communication networks such as cellular or WiFi. In addition, as the carrier frequency moves up, mobile satellite communications show worse performances than the conventional ...

Orbital Uncertainty Propagation Based on Adaptive Gaussian Mixture Model under Generalized Equinoctial Orbital Elements

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
The number of resident space objects (RSOs) has been steadily increasing over time, posing significant risks to the safe operation of on-orbit assets. The accurate prediction of potential collision events and implementation of effective and nonredundant ...

Improving sgp4 orbit propagation

open access: yesSystem technologies, 2019
The review reflects a comparison between several studies on improving the orbit propagataion accuracy using space objects’ TLE-elements. The study is done to identify a technique that can be applied to enhance the SGP4 model despite increasing the propagation span.

ATZ‐1 promotes DNA replication efficiency to maintain normal meiotic function

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Absence of ATZ‐1 interferes with meiotic DNA replication and cell cycle function via CHK‐1. This causes downstream defects associated with DNA damage and genomic integrity. Taken together, this study suggests that ATZ‐1 influences DNA replication efficiency and cell cycle function to maintain normal meiotic function.
