Gleaning the Rocky Shore? 2500 Years of Coastal Resource Use at Red Bluff 1, GunaiKurnai Country, SE Australia

open access: yesArchaeology in Oceania, Volume 61, Issue 1, Page 128-161, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Shell middens in Gippsland along the eastern half of Victoria's coastline have usually been characterised as small, short‐duration camp sites with relatively low shell densities and low taxonomic diversity. Here we present new excavation results from a dense, high‐diversity site at Red Bluff near the eastern end of GunaiKurnai Country, a ...

Schwannoma in the anterior orbita [PDF]

open access: yesBMJ Case Reports, 2014
A schwannoma is a rare benign tumour of peripheral nerve origin. We present a case of a 65-year-old woman with a 1-year history of a slowly enlarging, painless and movable mass, palpable by fingers in her right lower eyelid, adjacent to the inferior orbital rim. No apparent mass was present by macroscopic examination.

Linking Photophobia, Sleep Disturbances, and Migraine Chronicity: Evidence From a Retrospective Analysis

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study demonstrated that ictal photophobia was present in 89.8% and interictal photophobia in 93.4% of patients. Sleep disturbances were common, with 44.9% reporting difficulty falling asleep. Network analysis revealed stronger associations between interictal photophobia, daytime sleepiness, and medication overuse in chronic migraine compared to ...

Light‐Gated Thermal Domains in Nano‐Lanterns: Confined Heat Hotspots Sparks Electron Localization for Water Purification

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 3, 14 January 2026.
A pore heat‐confined hollow porous canbon nanosphere catalyst is synthesized, with superior photo‐induced heat/redox response, revolutionizing peroxyacetic acid (PAA) activation for sustainable water purification. It overcomes traditional thermal PAA oxidation's energy inefficiency, enabling rapid pollutant degradation with a rate constant 11 times ...

Radioanatomy of the Silent Sinus Syndrome

open access: yesOTO Open, Volume 10, Issue 1, January-March 2026.
Abstract Objectives Silent sinus syndrome (SSS) arises from negative pressure in the maxillary sinus through occlusion of the ethmoidal infundibulum. Convexity of the surrounding bone towards the lumen and a hypoglobus can occur. It may endanger surrounding structures during endoscopic sinus surgery. This research identifies and quantifies radiological
