Sustained response to rituximab in an ANCA‐negative necrotizing vasculitis with initial detection of Corynebacterium kroppenstedtii

open access: yesClinical &Translational Immunology, Volume 15, Issue 8, 2026.
Abstract Objectives In this case, we present a patient with rapidly progressive unilateral destructive orbital and midface inflammation. Initial detection of Corynebacterium kroppenstedtii was followed by a consistent course of localised necrotizing small‐vessel vasculitis, which was responsive to B‐cell depletion. Methods A 79‐year‐old woman presented

A Low‐Cost, Easily Implementable Model for Multiskill Hands‐On Training in Otolaryngology Education

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, Volume 11, Issue 4, August 2026.
We developed and evaluated a short‐duration, low‐cost, multistation hands‐on training model in otolaryngology for medical students and junior residents. The program significantly improved self‐assessed knowledge, procedural skills, and interest in otolaryngology, supporting its feasibility and educational value as a reproducible model for early ...

Crystal Facet‐Polysaccharide Matching in CFS‐P Nanocrystals Drives Fungal Uptake, Vacuole Destruction, and Selective Antifungal Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 39, 13 July 2026.
Facet‐engineered PVP‐capped CuFeSe2 nanocrystals exhibit potent, selective antifungal activity by strongly binding cell‐wall mannan, enabling vacuolar entry and organelle disruption. High‐index facets show superior mannan affinity, validated by theoretical calculations and experiments. CFS‐P induces vacuolar cavitation, mitochondrial abnormalities, and
