First-principles theory of intrinsic spin and orbital Hall and Nernst effects in metallic monoatomic crystals [PDF]
The generation of spin and orbital currents is of crucial importance in the field of spin-orbitronics. In this work, using relativistic density functional theory and the Kubo linear-response formalism, we systematically investigate the spin Hall and ...

Deriving the orbital properties of pulsators in binary systems through their light arrival time delays [PDF]
We present the latest developments to the phase modulation method for finding binaries among pulsating stars. We demonstrate how the orbital elements of a pulsating binary star can be obtained analytically, that is, without converting time delays to ...

Effects Of Direct And Indirect Solar Radiation Pressure In Orbital Parameters Of GPS Satelittes
In this paper we determined the variation of the Keplerian orbital elements of a GPS satellite due to the direct and indirect action of solar radiation pressure. For this study, we created a soft program to determine the Keplerian elements.

Electromagnetic Radiation and Motion of a Particle [PDF]
We consider the motion of uncharged dust grains of arbitrary shape including the effects of electromagnetic radiation and thermal emission. The resulting relativistically covariant equation of motion is expressed in terms of standard optical parameters ...

As low-thrust propulsion technology becomes increasingly popular, orbital estimation for low-thrust spacecraft may become an area of increasing interest. More frequent use of low-thrust propulsion to place satellites in orbit gives more opportunities for

In Abad et al., we studied the time evolution of orbital elements in the so-called “Gyldén–Mestchersky cases.” Actually the plots represent the evolution of orbital elements with respect to the eccentric anomaly, related with time through Kepler’s ...

HEOSAT: A mean elements orbit propagator program for Highly Elliptical Orbits [PDF]
The algorithms used in the construction of a semi-analytical propagator for the long-term propagation of Highly Elliptical Orbits (HEO) are described. The software propagates mean elements and include the main gravitational and non-gravitational effects that may affect common HEO orbits, as, for instance, geostationary transfer orbits or Molniya orbits.
