Orbital Forming of Automotive Wheel Bearings
SAE International Journal of Advances and Current Practices in Mobility, 2019<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">Orbital forming is considered an optimal assembly process for many designs of automotive wheel bearing assemblies. More specifically, this process involves forming the spindle over the inner race of the wheel bearing to maximize surface area contact on the inner ring for ...

Orbital forming of an oxygen cylinder web
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 1997Abstract The technology of orbital cold forming of an oxygen cylinder web, made of austenitic, acid-proof steel, grade 1H18N9T [1,2] is presented. The web is a closure of the oxygen cylinder, which is a part of the oxygen respirator used by miner rescue workers in this country and abroad.

GL2(ℂ)-orbits of binary rational forms
Lobachevskii Journal of Mathematics, 2011In this paper we study orbits of GL2(ℂ)-action on the space of binary forms and find criteria for equivalence of binary forms. The similar results are also obtained for rational binary forms and for real binary forms.

Orbital Forming of Flange Parts under Uncertainty
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2015Uncertainty in the properties of semi-finished parts can cause fluctuations in the product properties, especially if they have a strong effect on the process and cannot be compensated by process adjustments. Incremental forming processes have the potential to react to changing conditions by adapting the tool movement during the process.

Productivity and quality improvements through orbital forming
Assembly Automation, 2003Orbital forming is an efficient and precise process to assemble component parts. It provides strength, an attractive finished appearance, and batch‐to‐batch uniformity. Orbital forming machines can produce high‐torque assemblies and also freely swinging joints, and any degree of built‐in resistance in between.

A Correlation between Molecular Vibrations and Bond-forming Orbitals
Nature, 1948IN a recent letter, Heath and Linnett1 suggested for the treatment of molecular vibrations a new force field, the orbital valency force field. This is based more closely on modern ideas of directed valency than is the simple valency force field. We decided to test the orbital valency force field on methane, which is a convenient molecule to use, since ...

Perturbational molecular orbital theory in matrix form
Journal of Molecular Structure: THEOCHEM, 2005Abstract The Perturbational Molecular Orbital (PMO) theory for non-degenerate Hamiltonian is presented in matrix notation. As a consequence of this formulation, a practical algorithm to obtain analytical and numerical expressions up to any order is described.

Representation of orbits in the form of a sum of elementary orbits
Russian Mathematical Surveys, 1994It is proved by elementary methods that the orbits of the Borel and maximal unitriangular subgroups in \(GL (n,k) \times GL (m,k)\), where \(k\) is an arbitrary field, under the actions by \(k^n \otimes k^m\) are represented in the form of the sum of elementary orbits. A similar fact holds true for \(GL (n,k)\) and \(S^2 k^n\) or \(\Lambda^2 k^n\).

Closed form magnetic quarter orbit switch point solution
Guidance and Control Conference, 1977Abstract : A closed form solution is derived for determining the location of a set of magnetic switch points, spaced 90 deg apart in the orbit, which will allow the spin axis of a satellite to be moved in any, achievable, desired direction from any initial orientation.

Mass-Forming Inflammatory Lesions of the Orbit
2006Inflammatory pathology, ranging from simple foreign body granuloma, to the most complex vasculitis of a collagen tissue disease, may develop space-occupying mass lesions in the orbit and present with proptosis owing to volume increase in the bony chamber.
