A growing number of space‐based platforms, like the Orbiting Carbon Observatory (OCO‐2 and OCO‐3) missions, observe Earth's atmospheric carbon dioxide CO2 concentrations with high accuracy and precision. With the original goal of constraining natural CO2

Conservation of the spin and orbital angular momenta in electromagnetism
We review and re-examine the description and separation of the spin and orbital angular momenta (AM) of an electromagnetic field in free space. While the spin and orbital AM of light are not separately meaningful physical quantities in orthodox quantum ...

Explicit Solution to the Constant Radial Acceleration Problem
While the constant radial acceleration problem is known to be integrable and has received some recent attention in an orbital mechanics context, a closed form explicit solution, relating the state variables to a time parameter, has eluded all researchers

Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Propagation-Invariant Off-Axis Elliptic Gaussian Beams with the Orbital Angular Momentum
We studied paraxial light beams, obtained by a continuous superposition of off-axis Gaussian beams with their phases chosen so that the whole superposition is invariant to free-space propagation, i.e., does not change its transverse intensity shape ...

Orbital measures in non-equilibrium statistical mechanics: the Onsager relations
We assume that the properties of nonequilibrium stationary states of systems of particles can be expressed in terms of weighted orbital measures, i.e. through periodic orbit expansions.

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

We develop a theory for the dynamics of a magnon on top of a domain wall in a ferromagnetic nanotube. Due to the geometry of the sample, domain walls are classified by the Skyrmion charge which counts the winding number of magnetic textures.

Binary Collisions and the Slingshot Effect
We derive the equations for the gravity assist manoeuvre in the general 2D case without the constraints of circular planetary orbits or widely different masses as assumed by Broucke, and obtain the slingshot conditions and maximum energy gain for ...

Eccentric first post-Newtonian waveforms for compact binaries in frequency domain with Hansen coefficients [PDF]
The inspiral and merger of supermassive black hole binary systems with high orbital eccentricity are among the promising sources of the advanced gravitational wave observatories.
