Capillary orbits [PDF]

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
AbstractMillimeter-sized objects trapped at a liquid surface distort the interface by their weight, which in turn attracts them towards each other. This ubiquitous phenomenon, colloquially called the “Cheerios effect” is seen in the clumping of cereals in a breakfast bowl, and turns out to be a highly promising route towards controlled self-assembly of

Observational data and orbits of the asteroids discovered at the Baldone Observatory in 2015–2018

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2020
This paper is devoted to the discovery of 37 asteroids at the Baldone Astrophysical Observatory (MPC 069) from 2015 to 2018, and one of dynamically interesting Mars-crosser (MC) observed at the Baldone Astrophysical Observatory, namely 2008 LX16.

Observational data and orbits of the asteroids discovered at the Molėtai Observatory in 2010–2012

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2017
This paper is devoted to the discovery of asteroids at the Molėtai Astronomical Observatory (MAO) in 2010- 2012 together with the orbital analysis of two dynamically interesting Near Earth Objects (NEOs) discovered at the MAO, namely 2006 SF77 and 2010 ...

Planar resonant periodic orbits in Kuiper belt dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In the framework of the planar restricted three body problem we study a considerable number of resonances associated to the Kuiper Belt dynamics and located between 30 and 48 a.u.

Actinomycosis of the Orbit [PDF]

open access: yesOphthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, 1992
Actinomycosis is a very rare cause of orbital abscess usually attributable to direct spread from adjacent structures. A case of actinomycosis of the orbit is presented, which was treated as orbital pseudotumour for 3 months before progression of signs and symptoms, despite high dose steroids, led to the diagnosis being reconsidered.

Optimization of ferroelectricity and endurance of hafnium zirconium oxide thin films by controlling element inhomogeneity

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Ceramics
Ferroelectric thin films based on HfO2 have garnered increasing attention worldwide, primarily due to their remarkable compatibility with silicon and scalability, in contrast to traditional perovskite-structured ferroelectric materials.

Evaluación del desempeño de la radiación emitida por el sol como sistema de suministro de energía a un pico-satélite “CUBESAT” [PDF]

open access: yesTecnura, 2012
In the operation of a satellite is vital electricity, as this should feed all the same systems, such as command and control, that of communications, attitude control, among others.

Magnetized and Magnetically Charged Particles Motion around Regular Bardeen Black Hole in 4D Einstein Gauss–Bonnet Gravity

open access: yesUniverse, 2022
In this paper, we study the horizon properties and scalar invariants of the spacetime around a regular black hole (BH) in 4D Einstein Gauss-Bonnet (4D EGB) gravity.

Chaotic Spiral Galaxies

open access: yes, 2011
We study the role of asymptotic curves in supporting the spiral structure of a N-body model simulating a barred spiral galaxy. Chaotic orbits with initial conditions on the unstable asymptotic curves of the main unstable periodic orbits follow the shape ...
