Second-Order Conditioning in Humans [PDF]
In contrast to the large body of work demonstrating second-order conditioning (SOC) in non-human animals, the evidence for SOC in humans is scant. In this review, I examine the existing literature and suggest theoretical and procedural explanations for why SOC has been so elusive in humans.

Conditions for mutation-order speciation [PDF]
Two models for speciation via selection have been proposed. In the well-known model of ‘ecological speciation’, divergent natural selection between environments drives the evolution of reproductive isolation. In a second ‘mutation-order’ model, different, incompatible mutations (alleles) fix in different populations adapting to the same selective ...

Existence results of solutions for impulsive fractional differential equations
We analyze the existence of solution for the neutral fractional integro-differential equation (FDE) of order in the interval (1, 2] with impulsive and integral boundary conditions (IBCs).

Hypoellipticity and Higher Order Levi Conditions
We study the $C^\infty$-hypoellipticity for a class of double characteristic operators with simplectic characteristic manifold, in the case the classical condition of minimal loss of derivatives is ...

Second order evolution equations with nonlocal conditions
In this paper, we shall establish sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions for second order semilinear functional evolutions equation with nonlocal conditions in Fréchet spaces.

Some results on second order controllability conditions
For a symmetric system, we want to study the problem of crossing an hypersurface in the neighborhood of a given point, when we suppose that all of the available vector fields are tangent to the hypersurface at the point.

First order impulsive differential inclusions with periodic conditions
In this paper, we present an impulsive version of Filippov's Theorem for the first-order nonresonance impulsive differential inclusion $$ \begin{array}{rlll} y'(t)-\lambda y(t) &\in& F(t,y(t)), &\hbox{ a.e. } \, t\in J\backslash \{t_{1},\ldots,t_{m}\},\\

Second-order optimality conditions for interval-valued functions
This work is included in the search of optimality conditions for solutions to the scalar interval optimization problem, both constrained and unconstrained, by means of second-order optimality conditions.

A Note on the McCormick Second-Order Constraint Qualification
The study of optimality conditions and constraint qualification is a key topic in nonlinear optimization. In this work, we present a reformulation of the well-known second-order constraint qualification described by McCormick in [17]. This reformulation

Sufficient Conditions for Topological Order in Insulators
We prove the existence of low energy excitations in insulating systems at general filling factor under certain conditions, and discuss in which cases these may be identified as topological excitations.
