On the relationship between first-order exchange and Coulomb interaction energies for closed shell atoms and molecules

, 1993
First-order Heitler-London interaction energies E (1) HL, and their first-order Coulomb and exchange components E (1) C and E (1) X, have been computed for the Rg-Rg′, H2-Rg and N2-Rg interactions, where the rare gas Rg or Rg′ can be He, Ne, Ar or Kr ...

The Exchange Order

2017
This book illuminates a comprehensive social system that comprises explicit markets, tort liability, and criminal liability, and describes each of these three institutions as serving the same function in different social and physical circumstances. It defines exchanges as compensated transfers of rights and objects among individuals, and shows that ...

First-order eikonal exchange amplitudes

Physical Review A, 1982
A detailed derivation of a first-order analytic approximation to the electron-hydrogen charge-exchange amplitude in both the Glauber approximation and eikonal approximmations in both post and prior forms is presented. The results are applicable to arbitrary initial states.

Quantum mechanical reactive scattering via exchange kernels: Infinite order exchange on a grid

, 1985
A general methodology is described for carrying out quantum mechanical reactive scattering calculations. The approach is based on Miller’s [J. Chem. Phys.

Experimental identification of fourth-order exchange interactions in magnets with pure spin moments

, 2001
It is shown experimentally, that fourth-order exchange interactions, i.e.?biquadratic, three-spin and four-spin interactions, are able to create a particular order parameter which we have called O4.

Intramonomer correlation contributions to first-order exchange nonadditivity in trimers

, 2000
An expression for the nonadditive first-order exchange contribution in terms of the one- and two-particle density matrices of the isolated monomers is given.

Contributions of the second order exchange diagrams to local field corrections in electron liquids

, 1989
Parameterized expressions for the static local-field corrections, which exactly take into account the second-order exchange-diagram contributions to the correlation energy in 2D and 3D electron liquids, are derived.

Second-order eikonal exchange amplitudes

Physical Review A, 1986
The analytic expressions of the second-order eikonal exchange amplitudes are derived for electron-hydrogen scattering in both post and prior forms. In the case of the Glauber exchange amplitude, these expressions are shown to be reducible to closed forms. The results are applied to the calculation of elastic e-H(1s) scattering.

Bounds for the zeroth‐order exchange‐energy functional for atomic systems

, 1996
Bounds for the zeroth‐order exchange‐energy functional for atomic systems are derived using the generalized Carlson’s inequality. They are formulated entirely in terms of the average electron density 〈ρ〉, the expectation value 〈r−1〉, and the number of ...

Upper bounds for the zeroth-order exchange-energy functional

, 1998
Upper bounds for the zeroth-order exchange-energy functional are derived in terms of the momentum expectation value or the average electron density . We show that the zeroth-order exchange-energy functional is bounded from above in terms of the total ...
