Influence of surface roughness and deposition order on exchange bias in bilayer structures NiFe/IrMn
Using ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) method, magnetic properties of bilayer structures consisting of ferromagnetic (F, Ni80Fe20) and antiferromagnetic (AF, Ir25Mn75) layers with alternative order of F and AF deposition were studied.

Molecular bases of circadian magnesium rhythms across eukaryotes
Circadian rhythms in intracellular [Mg2+] exist across eukaryotic kingdoms. Central roles for Mg2+ in metabolism suggest that Mg2+ rhythms could regulate daily cellular energy and metabolism. In this Perspective paper, we propose that ancestral prokaryotic transport proteins could be responsible for mediating Mg2+ rhythms and posit a feedback model ...

Macrospin dynamics in antiferromagnets triggered by sub-20 femtosecond injection of nanomagnons
Magnetic order in nature is defined by the exchange interaction, however its understanding on the ultrafast- and nanometer-scales is limited. Here, the authors follow the femtosecond sub-nanometer dynamics of the antiferromagnetic order parameter in ...

Experimental study of order and constant rate of chlorine removal reaction using ion exchange resin
In this research, a strong anionic resin was prepared to remove chloride ions. This study was performed in a laboratory pilot to evaluate effective parameters such as temperature, amine flow rate, pH, chloride ion concentration and concentration of resin

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Competing Spin Liquids and Hidden Spin-Nematic Order in Spin Ice with Frustrated Transverse Exchange
Frustration in magnetic interactions can give rise to disordered ground states with subtle and beautiful properties. The spin ices Ho_{2}Ti_{2}O_{7} and Dy_{2}Ti_{2}O_{7} exemplify this phenomenon, displaying a classical spin-liquid state, with ...
