Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

GENERALIZED ORDER \((\alpha ,\beta)\) ORIENTED SOME GROWTH PROPERTIES OF COMPOSITE ENTIRE FUNCTIONS
In this paper we establish some results relating to the growths of composition of two entire functions with their corresponding left and right factors on the basis of their generalized order \((\alpha ,\beta )\) and generalized lower order \((\alpha ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Growth of solutions to higher-order linear differential equations with entire coefficients
In this article, we discuss the order and hyper-order of the linear differential equation $$ f^{(k) }+\sum_{j=1}^{k-1} (B_je^{b_jz}+D_je^{d_jz}) f^{(j) }+( A_1e^{a_1z}+A_2e^{a_2z}) f=0, $$ where $A_j(z), B_j(z), D_j(z)$ are entire functions ...

$(p,q)$th order oriented growth measurement of composite $p$-adic entire functions
Let $\mathbb{K}$ be a complete ultrametric algebraically closed field and let $\mathcal{A}\left(\mathbb{K}\right)$ be the $\mathbb{K}$-algebra of entire functions on $\mathbb{K}$. For any $p$-adic entire function $f\in \mathcal{A}\left( \mathbb{K}\right)

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Growth of solutions of complex differential equations with coefficients of finite iterated order
In this paper, we investigate the growth of solutions to the differential equation $$ f^{(k)}+A_{k-1}(z)f^{(k-1)}+dots+A_0(z)f=F(z), $$ where the coefficients are of finite iterated order.

Complex small entire functions
Small functions were defined in complex analysis together with the notions of order of growth, lower order of growth, type of growth and lower type of growth. The set of small entire functions with respect to an entire function f is a [Formula: see text]-

Stabilization of three-dimensional charge order in YBa2Cu3O6+x via epitaxial growth
In many cuprates the high temperature superconducting state competes with a charge ordered phase that has been difficult to investigate in detail. Here the authors show three-dimensional charge order can be stabilized in YBCO films and studied without ...

Growth patterns of ordered cellular automata
AbstractLet F be the transition rule of an ordered cellular automaton. The author studies the geometry of a certain subset of Euclidean space associated to the sequence ω, Fω, F2ω,…,Fpω,… This subset yields information on the geometry and cardinality of Fpω for large p.
